I called Doug (the owner of Pacific Energy Electric) because I had a ceiling light that kept going out.  He said that he might be able to find a replacement… read more fixture, but suggested that I switch the lights to LED fixtures as the old lights were being replaced by LED anyway.  But they were quite a bit more expensive.  And because there were a total of 9 lights, I was hesitant because  of the cost.  Doug explained the advantages , but didn’t try to give me the hard sell.  I had Doug do work on my circuit breaker a while back, and he was conscientious enough to finish the job even though it had started to drizzle, I went with his suggestion to replace all 9 lights.  He and his crew were very professional, came to work on time and thoroughly cleaned up after the job was done. I would definitely recommend him to any one that needs electrical work done, and in fact i have already recommended  him to a couple of my friends.  In addition, the lights enhanced my kitchen, were much brighter.  A definite improvement.

Same with the installation of new attic and kitchen fans, and a receptacle for a water heater recirculating pump. Last Friday evening I sent Doug a message that the circuit controlling our refrigerator and microwave wasn’t working. Doug interrupted his dinner to reply.   I had no electricity in one room of the house for 12 hours. Naturally this occurred just before dusk.  I called Pacific Energy & Electric the following morning. Per the… read more voice message I sent a text message explaining the issue. I had a reply within minutes as well as a scheduled service call for the next day. Several hours later the electricity came back on.  I decided to keep the scheduled service because I figured the issue would very likely occur again & wanted it resolved.
Two electricians arrived. They were very courteous & efficient; diagnosed the loose wiring on an outlet in the adjacent room; fixed it and then another issue as well.  One shared  electrical knowledge for the average homeowner which I value. They moved furniture back into place and cleaned up. Doug, the owner, arrived later to check on work completed and my satisfaction.

The work was done in great time and done beautifully.  I needed additional ceiling lights to add to the existing 4 already there .He installed those and replaced the existing ones with the newer, more efficient ones so that they all match  perfectly. Doug very kindly switched out a few out-of-date bulbs in another room and changed a couple of old switch plates without being asked and without extra charge.

Furthermore, Doug’s attention to detail is incredible. He makes sure to use the most functional and aesthetically pleasing parts to prevent any issues and everything looks incredible when they’re done. You won’t find a more knowledgeable and detailed eye when it comes to electrical work/parts.

My only honest challenge was regarding scheduling a date as they are extremely busy/in-demand – but I assure you it was worth the wait.

You might find someone to do the job for cheaper price – but I do not think you will not get the same quality work in Camarillo/Ventura County.

As a relatively new homeowner, it is a huge relief to have major work done by people who are extremely experienced and truly care about what they are doing.

He does a lot of work for and throughout Leisure Village in Camarillo, and he came very highly recommended by a tradesman that I trust from another venue. Doug provided an estimate of what he felt was needed to make the house more comfortable for us. He could have told us that the entire house needed to be rewired because of its age, but having a solid knowledge of Leisure Village, he knew what NEEDED to be done while keeping it affordable.

We had three new dedicated lines run from the outside box into the kitchen so we could use multiple appliances simultaneously. We also had all of the outside circuit breakers replaced as they were 40+ years old. Doug suggested that we consider adding a “whole-house” surge protector to the circuit box. We didn’t even know something like that existed. Doing so, we were able to remove the clutter of a dozen+ circuit breakers located throughout our home.  He also rewired the the master bathroom so we could operate our exhaust fan, and two separate lights independently from one another, which the vendor who originally installed it said was not possible. In addition, we added outside outlets so we could add a water feature to our front entrance. At the end of the day, he left the house as spotless as it was when he arrived. Since then, Doug has added LED cans in the kitchen and the office.

The bottom line…Doug and Mike know their stuff, PEE is reliable and dependable, their prices are reasonable, and they are both honest and great guys. I highly recommend them.

  Picture this. 9pm and the power suddenly goes  out…in select areas of my home. The living room TV stayed on but the living  room lamps went off. The front porch… read more light stayed on… but  the back porch was out. The  kitchen light was out but the refrigerator and stove stayed on. Both bathrooms were dark but one plug worked. And on and on. Ok, I watch movies and know that people who go outside to check the breakers in the dark get murdered, but what’s a girl to do. My cell phone was fully charged ( thank you). So I went on Next Door and pleaded for an electrician referral. Someone responded immediately with Pacific Energy Electric. I was really concerned about fire because LV is 40 50 years old and so are the breakers. Because of it being so spotty and sudden I was worried about fire. So I put a leash on my dog and put her on my bed so I could find her in an emergency and prayed my smoke detectors batteries were strong.
Next morning I texted Doug ( owner of PEE) with the situation. He came to my house immediately after the job he was finishing. He showed me several pictures of my breaker box and explained ( not mansplained) the system. He gave me a couple options and I decided to replace all the breakers. He was knowledgeable, respectful, friendly, and I immediately felt I could trust him. We chatted for a bit about puppies and kids, taxes etc. after he gave me the quote ( which I knew from experience was a fair price). I give this business and it’s owner a 5 and would make it a 10 if I could.
